Islands of the Damned

This morning out on the front deck with a cool, Hawaiin breeze blowing on me, I finished reading, "Islands of the Damned" by R.V. Burgin. It tells the story of his time as a marine fighting on New Britain, Peleliu, and Okinawa. I love a good biography about that time in history. I have no love for this technocratic, over-populated world we live in today. Sometimes when I finish reading a historical account that took place in the first half of the 20th Century, I feel like I was born 50 years too late.
